Sansa Awarded Therapy Dog Excellent Recipient

Introducing the American Kennel Club’s newest Therapy Dog Excellent recipient! We became certified just 2 years ago at 1&1/2 years old and have completed 200 visits! I’m especially proud because we have accomplished that with me working full time as a pharmacist and Sansa last year missed a couple months after she had surgery and was diagnosed with polycystic kidney disease.  Her prognosis turned out to be the best scenario possible because her disease is in just one kidney and no other organs. She will be able to hopefully live a long healthy life with one kidney. But it made me realize life is a gift and tomorrow is not guaranteed. I went on a mission to share her with as many people as I could. We both love what we do. I think it is just as much therapy for her and me as it is for the people we visit. I’m so proud of our accomplishment.
